Bring The Honeymoon Home

The spring fed pool was brisk with a magnificent view of the inland jungle. The view over the infinity edge revealed a stream 150 feet below with exotic birds and flowers, adding to the magical feelings of the place. This water color can be closely replicated with Crystalstones | Turquoise Pearl.

BALI RECREATED

Getting married and going on your honeymoon can be the best time of your life. So what better way to remember the vacation than to bring the honeymoon home, and permanently place the fondest memories of your honeymoon right in your backyard. A Floridian couple did just that. They set out on a mission to find some of the most beautiful pools in Bali and recreate what they could within their modest budget.

The Balinese culture’s focus on custom-made home decor is something to be admired. Hand made craftsmanship is something that most consumers value, whether you like the Balinese style or not. There were so many impressive works of art they wanted to bring back; the wood carvings, hand made paintings, hand carved front doors, swimming pools and custom outdoor furniture. Usually works of art made by craftsmen are quite expensive, but in Bali everything is affordable.

One of the few things in America that is still crafted by hand is a backyard swimming pool. Almost every in ground swimming pool is unique, and has the homeowner’s personality imprinted in the ground. Of course, you don’t have to have your own swimming pool to figuratively ’bring your honeymoon home.’ It’s more of a state of mind that they wanted to be reminded of.

It’s tough to beat reading a book by the pool under a circular rattan lounger while enjoying a few adult beverages. This rectangular infinite pool provided a magnificent view and great way to cool off.

Picking a pool finish color:

They knew right away that the water had to be on the greener end of the blue/green spectrum. The newlyweds consulted their CL Industries sales rep, and found that CLI had a very close match to all 3 of the luxurious honeymoon pools they photographed.

Stay tuned to see their inspiration come to life…
