Our bond coat system is used by applicators of competing plaster projects for one simple reason; it is the best bonding agent available. I’ve seen so many failed plaster applications (new construction & remodels) over the years through my work as an expert witness, and many of them could have been avoided had the applicator properly prepared the substrate (and used a bond coat) prior to plastering the swimming pool.
Swimming pools are typically used less in the winter, and therefore need less of a chemical load to maintain proper water chemistry. Here’s some quick tips to further save you money this winter season.
The method in which chlorine is electrolytically generated from saltwater is relatively simple. Table salt (NaCl) mixed with water is passed over a low voltage electric current decomposing the salt compound by electrolysis into a chlorine ion and a sodium hydroxide ion. The combination of the 2 ions in water becomes sodium hypochlorite which reacts to produce hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is the primary compound responsible for pool disinfection.
